  The principal sights of Siena are found in the network of narrow cobblestone streets and alleys around the fan-shaped Piazza del Campo. The buildings around the square symbolize the golden age of the city between 1260 & 1348, when wealthy citizens contributed to a major pro-gram of civic building. Visit the Duomo, Civic Art Museum & Torre di Mangia. A Professional guided city walk. Siena presents a perfect backdrop for artists & photographers.

• SAN GIMIGNANO
  The city of 'Beautiful Towers' is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Tuscany. Its stunning skyline bristles with tall towers dating from the 13th century; 14 of the original 76 towers have survived. The 'pearl' of Tuscany, paint & photograph its medieval towers & elegant palazzos. Paint the soft Tuscan hills surrounding San Gimignano.

• VICENZA
  Vicenza was given the nickname of "Venice on terra firma" due to the tremendous amount of building activity which was largely the work of one man, Andrea di Pietro, known as Palladio. The last great architect of the Renaissance, Palladio was born at Padua in 1508 and died at Vicenza in 1580. The "Palladian style" is characterized by rigorous plans where simple and symmetrical forms predominate & by harmonious facades which combine pediments and porticoes as at San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. • BASSANO DEL GRAPPA
  Train trip to explore, paint & photograph the covered bridge originally designed by the renaissance architect Andrea Palladio. See the monumental paintings of the 'Jacopo da Ponte Dynasty' at the Civic Art Museum. Sketch, paint and photograph the famous covered bridge with an historical alpine museum. Taste the best gelato in Bassano.
