Kroyer, kroyer P.S. Kroyer was the most famous and influential young artist of the "golden era" painters, during the1880?s-1890?s. Kroyer became a synonym for the great "golden era" artists of the fishing community "Skagen," a international venue for young artists.

At the very tip of northern Jutland, in Denmark he was a naturalistic plein air painter, but accepted no boundaries in producing his art.

His painting reflect the very atmosphere and quality that accompany the changing seasons at Skagen.

Spanish painter Sorolla felt that Kroyer really gave France, Italy and Spain its appreciation of painting "the northern light." P. S. Kroyer received world-wide fame with exhibitions in Venice, Paris, Berlin, Vienna & Chicago in the late 1800?s the style of some of his painting showed similarities to the work of Spanish artist Diego Vel?zquez.
